How can Hypnotherapy help you when you are bereaved?

At some stage in our lives we are all affected by death.  Bereavement is distressing but a common experience.

Everyone experiences grief in their own way and in their own time.  There is no right or wrong way to grieve.  We can grieve after any kind of loss but the greatest loss is the death of some one we love.

The emotions we experience and the intensity of these emotions can leave us feeling helpless, confused and fearful.  The important thing to remember is that these feelings will lessen and pass.  It's not a case of getting over it but learning to live and accept the changes.   Life will never be the same again.   But it can still be a good life.

When we grieve we experience shock, disbelief, numbness, pain, anger, guilt, depression, and longing.  We have to deal with other peoples reactions too, but we learn to cope and adapt to our new lives and then look to the future.

Our emotions at this time can be intense and change from one moment to the next.  We may feel that we don't have the strength or the will to get through our grief.

It is important for us to talk and share our emotions.  I have an advanced diploma in counselling. I have also trained and worked for Cruse Bereavement Care.
